Eating macaroni

September 19, 2011

I love this video because it shows the difference in their personality. Aidan’s stabbing away, trying to get the BIGGEST bite he could. Then there’s Miss Brooke, eating one piece at a time.

My Baby Can Read!!!

June 24, 2011

Seriously…she can….kind of. I think it’s more like memorizing but still amazing at 2 years old.

We discovered this a couple of weeks okay when we went shopping for a baby shower gift for Jenny and Steve. At Babies R Us, Brooke said, “Mommy, I want the ‘happy’ shirt.” And there it was, a onesie that said “Happy” on it. I was amazed and thought, “Wait…how did she know that’s happy” After some thinking, I realized she can read all words from her baby signing videos. She was really paying attention!

Words Brooke can read now:
boy, girl, horse, frog, bird, dog, cat, happy, sad, tree, moon, sun, milk, cup, more, cheese, apple, cracker, ice cream, bread, cookie, candy, red, blue, yellow, green, purple, Brooke, Aidan…there’s probably more, we just haven’t discovered it yet!

And if you’re curious if Aidan can read or not…he can’t. Hahaha. I showed him, “horse” and he said with confidence, “Mommy”, then I showed him “girl” and he said “Daddy”. But Aidan is ahead of Brooke when it comes to counting. More on that later.

Singing the ABCs

November 21, 2010

After three flawless performances, I finally wised up and decided to take a video of Brooke singing her ABCs. It’s moments like this that you can’t help but feel…this is what I’ve been working towards up to this point in my life. My kids are such a joy that the daunting task of waiting up at 7am when you went to bed at 3am (I stayed up with Bao and Tina to finish Mommy’s birthday cake) actually feels great.

A Lam Family Bedtime

It’s recommended that the night routine is calm and quiet, to help your kids wind down at the end of the day. Obviously, we missed this memo:
