This is funny because Brooke likes to push and Aidan likes to just sit — like a little king. We have a short video of Brooke sitting in the chair. She starts to flip out at the same time her brother just takes off because he has no interest in pushing her. Their little personalities are so funny.

Here is a video of the kids talking and signing. I totally forgot about “All Done”, one of the phrases they can say and sign. It’s so cute. Mike and I definitely cannot get enough of these parlor tricks. Hahaha.

We caught yet another one of Aidan’s milestones on video. Here he is taking his first steps…to get at my iPhone of course…hahaha. We couldn’t be any more proud and NERVOUS. Things will definitely be different once he’s walking but we’re up for the challenge!

Aidan is standing at 11 months. He’s been cruising for some time now but we discovered he could stand a few days ago. Here’s the video proof of this. He is so interested on what’s on TV, he forgotten that he’s nervous about standing. LOL. It usually doesn’t last this long if he doesn’t have something else to focus on.

There’s really no real substance to this video, it’s just cute. What it illustrates is just how much stuff goes on at our house these days. Notice Brooke is whining for attention now. They grow up so fast!

We got the Incrediblock off Craigslist and it’s the greatest thing! A steal since it retails at $100. I like it because it’s sturdy enough to support the kids when they use it to stand up.

Here you can see that Aidan totally understands that by moving the whale he can get the 3 other fish to move. It’s so fascinating to watch him grow into a little person…

Brooke started to clap over the weekend (Aidan’s been doing it for at least a month, his video’s in the good camcorder) and hasn’t stopped since.

…she didn’t fall off and bump her head.

Instead, she’s cracking up. It was really uncontrollable but by the time I got the video camera, she’s done it at least 12 times with Daddy so she’s tired already. Still cute!

Gone are the days of screaming blobs before bedtime!

Before, our night time routine consist of two screaming blobs on the ground or on my bed since it wasn’t physically possible for me (they didn’t have P90X yet) to hold two babies at the same time. (The truth is, the times I did try, the crying was just escalated by the fact that it wasn’t comfortable for them.)

Now that they’re 8 months old and sitting, I can sit them down with one of the lowest-tech yet by far the most popular toy in this house hold, the Fisher-Price First Blocks, and they are entertained for at least 20 minutes. I’m not sure why they love it, but we love it that they do (they actually both like the red bucket more than the blocks right now). $10 can buy you at least 20 minutes of freedom. I highly recommend it!
