Khoackie’s Hitched!

September 19, 2009

Congratulations to Khoa and Jackie for tying the knot this weekend! The kids were “Honorary Babies” in their ceremony and Mike and I got to hold the honorary babies! LOL. They had a beautiful ceremony and the kids did great at the church.

Honorary Babies
Not so honorary eating church pews…

We then ditched the kids (big THANKS to Steve, Yee-Suk and Jenny-Yi) and partied like we didn’t have children at Pacific Hill with our entire family and extended family! So much fun. What a great wedding!

Party People!
Being irresponsible!

Congrats again, Cousins!!!

Aidan continues growing…

September 18, 2009

Here you can see that Aidan totally understands that by moving the whale he can get the 3 other fish to move. It’s so fascinating to watch him grow into a little person…

Vegas, baby!

Van’s bachelorette party in Sin City!

I left the babies for the first time (luckily my wonderful husband sent daily photos and videos of the kids…gotta love the iphone!). I had a lot of fun!

Friday Night – Animal Print night

Animal Print Night

Tina and I got off the plane at 6:41pm where we met with Van, the Kane sisters and Coco. We took the shuttle to MGM where Van was SURPRISED by her future sis-in-law, Andrea (Andrea flew into LAX on Thursday and drove to Vegas with Bao, Linh and Shanielle). We played a answer/question game waiting for Carter and took off on the Vegas shuttle to Encore. We weren’t able to get into XS (well, we got to the front of the line and then they wanted us to pay $20 each so we decided we’d have more fun somewhere we can get in for free since we’re 12 half-naked girls in Vegas…hahaha…) We ended up at Tao and got into Tao Beach. The nice server there gave us a table and we partied while Van completed her Dares until 3am.

Brooke Clapping

September 9, 2009

Brooke started to clap over the weekend (Aidan’s been doing it for at least a month, his video’s in the good camcorder) and hasn’t stopped since.

Here she is clapping along to Mommy’s bad singing…LOL. (At least I still have a fan.)

Walking at 9 Months…

September 8, 2009

…not really.

We went out to a place called Boston Kitchen in Rowland Heights on Labor day with Mike’s mom. It wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t great. The beef chow fun was a little too greasy…

Back to the story…

As usual, strangers would ‘ooh and ahh’ at the twins and this grandmother of another baby came up to Mike and asked a bunch of question. Grandma Lam was sitting on the other side of the table and I could tell she was just itching to tell stories about her grandkids but the opportunity just didn’t present itself. As we walked out, a poor, innocent man asked, “Are they twins?” and pent-up Grandma jumped at the opportunity.

“Yes! They’re 9-months and they can walk”

…the rest is in Chinese so I have no idea what she was telling them. LOL.

Just in case you’re curious…no, they cannot “walk”. They can walk with support, but that’s it. But of course, grandma left that out. *wink wink*

One little monkey jumping on the bed…

…she didn’t fall off and bump her head.

Instead, she’s cracking up. It was really uncontrollable but by the time I got the video camera, she’s done it at least 12 times with Daddy so she’s tired already. Still cute!

Sunday Breakfast

August 30, 2009

I’m trying to get myself to cook more so we decided to start slow with one guaranteed meal a week. So we started Sunday breakfasts. Today I wanted to make homemade pancake. I grew up on Bisquick so I had it in my head that homemade pancake was really difficult. Well, it wasn’t. It was super easy and super delicious! I decided on a recipe I found on Allrecipes.com that had oatmeal in the mix. I added one cup of fresh blueberries just because I love blueberry pancakes. I’m excited about what I’ll come up with next week.
