I love my friends…

November 18, 2004

This entry is dedicated to my good ol’ buddy, Philip. :>>

This guy was (and is still) one of my bestest friends. We haven’t talked in a long time, but when we were in highschool we use to talk on the phone EVERYDAY for no reason. I remember there were times when we weren’t even talking. Just holding onto the phone while we watched the same show on TV. (How dumb is that?! Hahaha.) Anyways, he called me today, and usually when Vil calls it’s something important or something to tell me, but he was just talking. Which is TOTALLY cool, but it’s just been a long time since we talked like this…just about nothing. About 15 minutes into the conversation, he tells me he’s BUZZED! :))

I guess in San Francisco the weekend starts on Thursdays! (Damn surburbia!) It was fun. Can’t wait till Vegas!!!

Over my quota…

November 13, 2004

Today I spent the whole freaken day with Roger. :)) We went over our “friend quota”.

We woke up and had breakfast at Mimi’s Cafe. We went our separate ways only to meet again at 6:30pm for dinner. Roger cooked dinner for us (We (L) you, Roger) and we all carpooled to Fullerton to watch a live jazz band at Steamers! It was fun! Barbara Morrison rocks. She’s freaken cool! And the band, Blue Crew, were great! I had a great time. (Thanks for the invite, Bao & Thanh).

We dropped Roger off at his place (bootie call…hahaha) and went back to our place and guess who was there…our roomie, Dennis! :)) Bao, Thanh, Dennis, Mike & I played some Hoopla and we rocked it! (Well, with an exception of our weakest link…”It’s bigger than BLANK but smaller than BLANK”) |-| Fun game, and WE WON! What an ego booster! ;D

I love the weekends. B)

HRT Dinner — My Turn!

November 12, 2004

hrtToday was my monthly meeting with the Orange County Executive Board (We are so square! Hahaha.)

Bao graciously came over the “help” me (which quickly turned into her cooking and me watching & cleaning) cook dinner for Hong & Roger. I don’t know if you all have the privelege, but Bao makes the BOMB ribs! (Y) Mike came home and he made the mash potatoes to go with dinner. All I was in charge of was dessert and I made “PTA MOM” cupcakes and guess what? I burnt HALF of them! I am the worst cook in the world. It’s not like I made them from scratch either. I bought some Pilsbury cake mix and added oil, water and eggs. I can’t believe I messed up. I had to hear it from Bao & Mike all night too! Hahaha.

Dinner was great and we just sat around, talked, and laughed at Thanh. :))

I freaken (L) my friends! Can’t wait till Vegas! (:o)

Aggressive Uno…

November 11, 2004

Scary UnoThursday afterwork, Mike had to work on our TiVo so I drove over to Roger’s to visit. We had “homemade” Haagen Daz & “homemade” cookies and watched Sex & the City. :-] After the episode where Carrie first met Aidan and decides to quit smoking, we played some Uno where I lost miserably … and QUICKLY! It was fun. :-]

Mom’s ’05′ Birthday

November 7, 2004

mommy bdayMom’s birthday is November 10 but Dad’s family decided to celebrate it this weekend.

We went to Jasmine Thai on Goldenwest and had dinner with everybody. We had fun (hating on the fact that the waitresses were rude and kept insisting that we ordered stuff that we didn’t). After dinner we went home, took some pictures, ate some (^), got agressive in Catch Phrase and called it a night. :-]

Halloween 1Halloween has to be one of the funnest holidays! But let’s start with my day.

Today I woke up to have breakfast w/ Mommy Lam. We ate Marie Calendar’s Sunday brunch and Mommy was late for work so she dropped Mike & me off @ GGHS and we walked home. Hahaha. It was a pleasant walk. We looked at the school and just reminised about our adolescents.

Halloween 2We then went to Chu Sau’s house where Mike fixed computers while Longmy & I cooked cupcakes. Despite all the complications, our cupcakes turned out super yummy (and super cute but I didn’t take a picture.)

Then Roger and Vil picked me up and took me to the Block where we watched a movie of my choice and boy did I mess up! Hahaha. The most entertaining thing about “Birth” was this old man that complained REALLY LOUDLY the whole time he was there. “This movie is so dumb.” “I could be home watching TV!” “I HATE this boy.” :)) But as usual, we still had a great time and I enjoyed the quality time I got to hang out with these guys. They are the BEST!

Then Roger dropped me off at my parents’ and the party begun. Bao cooked some KILLER ribs, Van made yummy mac n cheese & stuff (coz what’s a Ngo party w/out mac n cheese or stuffing?) And we decided to sit in the front yard and wait for trick or treaters as we bumped a looped track of “YMCA”. HAHAHA. We had a great time. We finished off the night with a few rounds of Catch Phase and my team lost. Hahaha.
